Corrosion Authority

Certification Path (CP1–CP4)

What this pathway is

This level organizes the site around certification scope boundaries. Each certification hub is a control panel: what you must know, what you must be able to do, and the practice resources that match that level.

Progression (CP1 → CP4)

  1. CP 1 — Technician fundamentals
Basic theory and measurements; recognizing correct/incorrect readings; core terminology.
  2. CP 2 — Application and troubleshooting
Practical diagnosis, field interpretation, and controlled adjustments.
  3. CP 3 — Design and interference reasoning
Current distribution and attenuation, interference analysis, instrumentation error, and case-style decisions.
  4. CP 4 — Advanced engineering judgment
System-level decisions, optimization, and complex interference conditions.

Next step

After certification scope is clear, use Applied CP Engineering for design, interference, instrumentation, and field execution problem types.
